It just got real on the Nigerian music front following accusations that one of the top indigenous rap kings in Nigeria stole a song.
The accusation was leveled against Phyno by a rapper who goes by the handle @bugzydvinci on Instagram, accusing Phyno of copying his style and stealing his song. According to Bugzy, Phyno stole his record and changed the name from “ Fuo” to “Fuwa ” as seen in his recently released single, “ Fuwa Sewa “.
Phyno has neither acknowledged nor responded to the allegations and it is doubtful if he would.
Bugzy also accused Phyno of trying to cover the shine of other Eastern artistes, claiming that that was why artistes from the area are not well known.
Phyno whose real name is Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike shot to the top with his collaborative effort on “ Ghost Mode ” on which he featured Olamide in 2012.
“ Ghost Mode ” was one of the songs in his debut album, “ No Guts, No Glory” and earned him notable accolades.
